How many self-proclaimed photo-journalists can claim over a decade in the trenches of community journalism? I'm a storyteller, and these days I do it best with my camera.
People have been telling me for years, that I should be making my living at this, but I'm stubborn and I have to figure things out on my own. I love people (especially little people) and interacting with families. My most successful shoots are those where I capture a family's essence. My hope is that as your family grows, you'll take me a long with you. As old-fashioned as it sounds, I would love to be your "family photographer". I love capturing those special moments within families, but just as importantly, I want to make everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera.
In my free time I eat way too much chocolate, sing along with Serena Ryder when no one is listening and continue my mission to perfect a dairy-free latte. I'm a mom who looks tired all the time, mostly because I am. I sometimes get those sympathetic looks from other moms who know what it's like to have a "busy" child. My son is a handful and a joy all rolled into one, and he never gives me time to second-guess myself. If he did, I may never have taken this leap!
