Carla - Reiki Practiotioner

All Reiki is performed by Carla. Carla is a doula and certified Traditional Japanese Reiki Practitioner who has been "attuned" to connect with a  client's energy. Using her hands she clears the negative energy and creates a healthy flow. Clearing that energy is supposed to encourage the body to heal itself thus leaving mom feeling:   

   * Peace, serenity, calmness and/or relaxation
   * Feeling energetic
   * Feeling lighter
   * Euphoric (happiness, laughing, and/or positive thinking)
   * Spiritual awareness
   * Release of suppressed/buried feelings, emotions, and/or blockages
   * Release of toxins to promote health
   * Shorter labours
   * Enhance breastfeeding, deal with stress, increase muscle flexibility, improve circulation and reduce muscle pain

Traditional Japanese Reiki!  

Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying of hands". It is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us. If
mom's "life force energy" is low, then she is more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, she is more capable of being happy and healthy.

Reiki is a powerful tool during the prenatal, childbirth and the postpartum period. It helps to reduce stress and relax the body. After treatment moms experience a better nights sleep, ease in anxiety or
fatigue and  reduce in aches or pains. Each session removes energy blocks, allowing the flow of birth energy to move more freely.
