We are an agency that provides clients the ability to meet high-quality candidates who have already been pre-screened and vetted through our very strict assessment and interview process. Please note that it is recommended to start the interview process for labor and/or postpartum support no sooner then your 26th week of pregnancy and with the intention of booking within 2-4 weeks.
This is to ensure that the professional you chose will be available for you and prevent you from having to start the interview process over.
Our support team are all Nurses, Perinatal Support Workers (PNSWs) or Doulas.
They must all carry liability insurance, CPR and Back Checks.
During interviews we encourage families to ask for proof of all these certificates directly from each professional.
Please be assured that all professionals have been vetted and are registered or trained within their modality.
All of the Babeez nurses are R.N.s or R.P.N.s registered with the www.cno.org
All of the Babeez PNSWs are registered with the www.pnsw.org
All of the Babeez Doulas have taken trainings with one of the recognized Canadian organizations.

Important things to know in advance:
- We do have an engagement agreement and fee in order to get the interview process started.
- Once you have completed your interviews and selected your professional, a contract will be sent to you with the specific details.
The Pregnancy & Labor support contract will include:
- Deposit Amount - 50% of the full agreement upon signing, remaining 50% 6 weeks before due date (preferred method of payment is e-transfer however credit card is an option)
- Specific Inclusions - most birth packages include 2 prenatal visits (approx 1-2 hours each) and 1 postpartum followup phone call
- Back up support (if requested and available we will be able to set this up)
- Alternative options for C-Sections (For scheduled C-Sections you will have the option to have the professional support you during the c-section or receive a partial refund. For C-sections after labouring, there is no refund)
The Postpartum support contract will include:
- Deposit Amount (usually 25% of the full agreement with a max cap).This deposit will be used to secure the chosen professional and will be deducted from your final invoice. This deposit is non-refundable
- Payment Instructions - each week the professional works you will be invoiced for the shifts worked. Preferred method of payment is e-transfer.
- Sickness Protocols - if your professional is unable to fulfill a shift due to sickness, they will let you know immediately and you will have the option to have someone else cover the shift, decide on an alternate date or have that shift completely cancelled.
