MEET OUR PRESIDENT & FOUNDER - DEBBIE FAZIO
Debbie Fazio is a Parenting & Empowerment Coach and the Founder and President of Precious Moments Babeez Inc. She is a Newborn Care Specialist, Happiest Baby instructor and a Board Certified Sleep Consultant who works with families around the globe. Her combined experience, training and certifications have enabled her to support families in many baby & child related issues. Being a mother of 3 children, including a set of twins, has enabled her to be compassionate, non-judgmental and knowledgeable in her role in helping parents. Debbie has supported many families in Canada and across the globe with issues from newborn care, feeding, sleep nurturing, sleep training and behaviour modification for families with one child as well as families with multiples. She is also the Co-Founder and Faculty for the Global Perinatal Support Worker (PNSW) Program Inc. in Canada (www.pnsw.org). She is committed to empowering parents with the tools to help them transition into parenthood with confidence and love so they can enjoy the precious moments with their baby and to offering the highest level education to the professionals who work with them!

MEET OUR Vice President - VIRGINIA COLLINS
Virginia’s profound knowledge and experience in health care is significant to Precious Moments Babeez. Virginia has been a birth and postpartum advocator for well over 30 years. Virginia has served as an expert for a variety of public initiatives to improve maternal and infant health, including but not limited to cofounding several perinatal bereavement support groups in the GTA. She is a published author and a contributing expert for many Canadian publications related to pregnancy and birth. Virginia is the Co-founder of the Perinatal Support Worker program; an advanced training program for Personal Support Workers which educates them to support families from conception to parenthood. (www.pnsw.org) Using her expertise and experience she developed the PNSW curriculum, which is the only one of it’s kind in the world. Virginia has been a childbirth educator at Women’s College Hospital since 2002. She is pleased to be able to bring her expertise to the Babeez family and looks forward to helping clients have their best possible pregnancy and birth.

MEET OUR INTAKE COORDINATOR - Natasa Oliveira
Natasa is a mom of 2 and has been supporting families on the Babeez Team for over
12 years as the Intake Coordinator! Natasa is also a Registered Perinatal Support Worker who understands the value of having pregnancy/labor and postpartum in home support for new and expecting families. Natasa is often the first line of communication for families looking for prenatal and postpartum support and is very supportive in the process of assisting families in finding their perfect support professional.

MEET OUR DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION - Julie-Anne Mauno
Julie-Anne is a Registered Perinatal Support Worker with 22 years of experience in the perinatal support field and 7 children of her own. She has worked alongside public health nurses, nutritionists, doctors and midwives to provide education, resources and specialized support to expecting parents during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. She has developed curriculum and facilitated prenatal and parent education classes for both private clients and public organizations including one of Montreal’s public health units. Julie-Anne developed the infant and pregnancy loss progressive healing group “Our Babies, Our Grief” with Home Hospice Association and is a facilitator of the OBOG program. Julie-Anne is an integral part of the Babeez team as she manages and builds the Babeez education programs taught through various government and private agencies in Canada.

Terri is a proud mom of three grown children and a grandmother. She has over 8 years of experience in perinatal work and her passion for labour and birth support is what led her to become a registered Perinatal Support Worker. As our Community Relations Officer, Terri is an important part of our team as she creates awareness and builds relationships within the community to help Babeez' mission to be accessible to all families. When she is not working behind the scenes you will find Terri doing what she loves best, supporting families as they transition into parenthood.
Terri is a proud mom of three grown children and a grandmother. A little about the Babeez Support Professionals!
Our support team are all Nurses, Perinatal Support Workers (PNSWs) or Doulas.
They must all carry liability insurance, CPR and Back Checks. During interviews we encourage families to ask for proof of all these certificates directly from each professional. Please be assured that all professionals have been vetted and are registered or trained within their modality. All of the Babeez nurses are R.N.s or R.P.N.s registered with the www.cno.org All of the Babeez PNSWs are registered with the www.pnsw.org All of the Babeez Doulas have taken trainings with one of the recognized Canadian organizations. |
