Sleepy Babeez Program
The Sleepy Babeez Program works best for babies
over 16 weeks up to 2 years. This program will teach parents how to encourage better sleep skills which will help extend nap times and eliminate feeds and lengthy wakes through the night. Babies will learn the skills they need to fall asleep at nap and bedtimes but also to go back to sleep in the middle of naps and overnight when they wake from common and normal sleep cycles. |
What is the Sleepy Babeez Program?
The program begins with you filling out an intake form which will help us understand your baby's current routine and patterns. With this information, we will create a new schedule and routine that is age appropriate for your baby. We will discuss room setup and atmosphere, soothing techniques and address any issues that you have including, but not limited to feedings (both breast and bottle), reflux or colic, eczema, teething, separation anxiety and self
soothing.
After our initial consultation, the schedule and routine will be implemented on the following day, which we call the "ease in" day. On that first evening at bedtime you will begin the training
process. Depending on which package you choose, we will guide you either by telephone or email through this training process. We must prepare you that with this program there will be crying although it is intended to decrease by the implementation of the schedule and routine. Rest assured that the reason for the new schedule and routine is that we want to ensure that your baby's needs have been taken care of so that we are not neglecting anything. We also want to ensure that you are not sending any mixed messages to your baby and that you are not second guessing yourself during this process. The plan has been proven to work even in the most stubborn cases because of the unique support that you receive from our sleep consultant. By the end of our time together, you should see that your baby is on a better path to sleeping if not already sleeping through the night.
In terms of statistics, 1 in every 20 babies needs a longer time to adjust but it eventually does work. By the 3rd night (sometimes sooner) your baby will be sleeping minimum of 8 hours throughout the night. Naps usually take a bit longer sometimes taking up to a couple of
weeks on the rare occasion.
***If you feel that you or your child have any emotional or psychological issues that may be causing sleep issues, we encourage parents to seek out a adult/child psychologist or family social worker for help. If you do not know who to contact, please advise.***
