In a study of 170 Canadian women with pregnancy-related back pain, 72% reported back pain during labour. However, the women who received chiropractic care, reported less pain during both pregnancy and labour.
One study showed that first time mothers under regular chiropractic care averaged a 24% shorter labour time, while mothers who had previously given birth experienced a 39% reduction in the average labour time compared to those not receiving regular chiropractic care.
