Sleep Consultations & Coaching

For Babies and Toddlers

Pediatric Sleep Support

We work in partnership with a referral sleep consultant company to support families who may benefit from additional sleep guidance. The program is built on the understanding that a baby or toddler’s sleep can improve significantly by establishing strong, developmentally appropriate sleep foundations. As experienced infant and toddler sleep consultants, our approach focuses first on the essential building blocks that support healthy sleep, without pressure or one-size-fits-all methods.

These foundational sleep practices include creating a sleep-friendly environment, setting age-appropriate feeding, sleep, and wake schedules, establishing consistent bedtime and nap routines, understanding normal infant and toddler sleep patterns, ensuring quality feedings, and identifying and addressing sources of discomfort. For many families, working with a qualified sleep consultant to implement these foundations alone can lead to significant improvements in sleep, often without the need for formal sleep training.

“Sleep nurturing” and “sleep training” refer to the steps taken once a baby is placed in their crib, with the goal of supporting independent sleep in a developmentally respectful way. Some families choose to focus solely on foundational sleep practices, which can be introduced as early as the newborn stage and are often enough to create meaningful change. Others may choose to move forward with more structured, guided sleep support when they feel ready.

It’s important to know that the decision to introduce independent sleep techniques is always personal. Sleep nurturing can begin in the newborn stage using a gentle, gradual approach that evolves as your baby grows. Sleep training, on the other hand, should only be considered after 16 weeks of age and offers a more structured method for helping babies learn to fall asleep independently, stay asleep longer, and eventually sleep through the night.

Our sleep consultants work closely with families to choose an approach that fits their child, their values, and their stage of parenting. They provide personalized guidance, reassurance, and evidence-informed support every step of the way.

In some cases, services may be eligible for insurance coverage, depending on your individual plan and provider. We recommend checking directly with your insurance company to confirm coverage details.

What to Expect

The type of support you receive will depend on what you’re looking for and the service you choose.

One-Time Sessions

For families booking a one-time session, no intake form or preparation materials are required in advance. These sessions are designed to be flexible and focused on your immediate needs.

You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and receive practical suggestions based on what’s currently happening, whether that’s sleep challenges, routines, feeding, or general newborn care. The goal is to provide clarity, reassurance, and realistic strategies you can start using right away.

Full Support Programs

For families who choose a more comprehensive program with ongoing support, a more structured approach is provided.

You will receive:

  • An intake form to better understand your baby’s routines, sleep patterns, and your goals
  • A starter kit with guidance on how to prepare for your consultation
  • A detailed consultation tailored to your family’s needs
  • Ongoing support through phone and/or email guidance as you implement changes

These programs allow for deeper, more personalized support and guidance over time.

Newborn Consultations & Sleep Nurturing

(For Babies Under 3 Months)

The Newborn Consultation is designed to take advantage of the W.O.O. (Window of Opportunity), reinforcing healthy sleep habits and self-soothing skills from the very beginning. By setting a solid foundation early on, many babies may not require sleep training later.

During the consultation, a sleep expert will guide you through:

    • General newborn care such as bathing, diapering, and creating a calming environment
    • Breastfeeding and bottle-feeding support
    • Burping, swaddling techniques, and optimizing room conditions for better sleep
    • Implementing an appropriate sleep schedule and routine
    • Overview of the Sleepy Babeez methods to encourage healthy sleep habits and self-soothing

Newborn sleep nurturing is a gradual process that typically takes 4 to 8 weeks to show results. This is not a quick-fix program but rather a supportive approach to naturally guiding your baby toward better sleep.

If you are breastfeeding, we recommend scheduling your consultation once breastfeeding is well-established. For bottle-fed babies, this consult can take place within two weeks of arriving home.
